Rugged Monitoring's
Fiber optic temperature monitors are advanced monitoring systems designed to track temperature fluctuations in real-time, utilizing optical fibers as both sensing and transmission media. Unlike traditional systems, fiber optic monitors can perform exceptionally well in noisy, high-voltage, or hazardous environments, as they operate by interacting with the environment through light.
Fiber optic temperature monitors are also capable of long-distance signal transmission with minimal losses, as they use optical fiber as their medium. These advanced monitors are widely used across industries, including oil & gas, refineries, solar farms, data centers, and EV stations.
Rugged Monitoring’s fiber optic temperature monitors convert analog signals captured by fiber optic sensors into digital signals. By analyzing changes in light behavior, including wavelength, phase, intensity, or delay caused by interactions between asset components and sensor elements, they ensure real-time, data-driven analysis of temperature fluctuations.
Our fiber optic temperature sensors are also based on two main sensing mechanisms:
Rugged Monitoring’s fiber optic temperature monitors transmit real-time data through light, rather than electricity, offering several distinct advantages over traditional monitoring systems. They eliminate EMI-induced errors, making them ideal for harsh, electromagnetically noisy, or high-voltage environments. Our fiber optic monitors also provide precise and repeatable readings, utilizing proven zero-drift technology, which ensures long-term temperature monitoring without the need for recalibration.
Along with a wide measuring range and high accuracy (less than 1°C), Rugged Monitoring’s fiber optic temperature monitors also offer a quick response time (200ms per channel). Plug-and-play operation, remote monitoring, robust data logging, and advanced software integration all enhance the monitor’s reliability and suitability for utilities and OEMs.
